The first nationwide Turkish league, contested from 1937 through 1950 by the leading clubs from İstanbul, Ankara and İzmir. Between 1940 and 1950 it ran alongside the Turkish Football Championship, producing two nationwide champions in several years. The TFF currently does not include these titles in its championship-star count.
