A one-off FPF competition staged separately by division in 1976–77. Sporting Braga defeated Estoril Praia 2–0 in the I Divisão final. It is sometimes described as a forerunner of the Taça da Liga, but it is not an edition of the official title line begun in 2007–08; its recognition as a major national title remains disputed.
