The Neue Fußballwoche Cup, commonly called the Fuwo-Pokal, was a one-off official competition held after the 1971–72 DDR-Oberliga season. All 14 top-flight clubs played in two groups before the group winners contested the final. The trophy was 60 centimetres tall, weighed five kilograms and was made by goldsmith Wolfgang Friedrich of Berlin-Eichwalde.
